The client looking an experienced Head of Legal to oversee and guide their legal operations while ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role is ideal for a seasoned legal professional passionate about crypto, fintech, and emerging digital asset regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop the legal team, ensuring their ability to handle complex legal and compliance matters effectively.
• Strategic Legal Guidance: Collaborate with the executive team to shape legal strategies aligned with the company's expansion into new markets.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in legal and regulatory frameworks affecting crypto and fintech operations and implement compliance strategies accordingly.
• Contract and IP Management: Oversee contracts, intellectual property matters, and litigation as necessary.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategic plans to mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure legal considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within fintech or the cryptocurrency industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of corporate law, taxation, and legal business structures.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Proven ability to manage contracts and litigation matters effectively.
• Experience in fintech, or crypto payments, is a significant advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
