About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of People Operations to lead and develop people function in a scaling Fintech. With a team of 70 and growing, the company is focused on building a high-performing team of industry experts. This role will play a key part in recruitment, personnel development, culture, employee well-being, and performance management. You will oversee HR operations, policies, relocations, and procedures while ensuring a dynamic and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the HR team (currently 3 people) to deliver strategic and operational excellence.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks, including relocations.
• Drive a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and professional development.
• Collaborate with leadership to align people strategy with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations (Latvia-specific knowledge required).
• Manage compensation, benefits, and employee well-being initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, handling HR-related concerns with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading HR or People Operations.
• Strong expertise in recruitment, talent development, and performance management.
• Experience managing HR policies, compliance, and relocations.
• Ability to navigate and manage strong personalities.
• Fluent in Latvian (for labor law compliance), Russian (for team communication), and English (for documentation).
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work closely with C-suite and influence strategic decisions.
