About the Client
Our client is an international, growing payment processing company managing large volumes of transactions across multiple systems. With a mission to streamline and centralise operations, they’re now developing a unified data infrastructure that connects analytical tools and operational platforms into one reliable source of truth.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer, you’ll take ownership of designing and implementing a centralised platform to consolidate internal systems and enable high-scale analytics and automation. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong database and backend development expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a centralised internal data platform (data warehouse/lake).
- Integrate various internal systems (Salesforce, Jira, Monday, etc.) into a unified PostgreSQL setup.
- Maintain and improve custom backend services and ingestion tools built in C++ and .NET.
- Build and optimise scalable data pipelines for syncing, transforming, and storing operational data.
- Ensure system integrity, performance, and high availability across platforms.
- Collaborate with BI and product teams to design models aligned with business needs.
- Implement monitoring, version control, and documentation across internal APIs and data flows.
Requirements
- Strong experience in PostgreSQL: schema design, performance tuning, and data modelling.
- Solid backend development skills with C++, .NET, or similar languages.
- Experience building integrations and pipelines between disparate internal systems.
- Understanding of transactional systems and high-load architectures.
- Ability to drive infrastructure projects independently over the long term.
