About the Client
Our client is an international and fast-growing player in the crypto trading space. With a focus on precision, scale, and profitability, they are building powerful backend infrastructure to drive capital allocation across 30+ global exchanges. As the company expands into institutional services, they're launching an in-house OTC trading platform—and looking for top engineering talent to make it happen.

Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be a founding member of the OTC Desk development team. You'll design, implement, and optimise backend services in Rust, working on mission-critical systems for large-scale crypto trading. This role blends low-latency engineering, system design, and cross-team collaboration—ideal for someone excited by both technical depth and real-world trading impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend architecture for a new proprietary OTC platform using Rust
• Build scalable APIs for internal use and automated system operations
• Develop custom integrations with exchanges and liquidity venues
• Optimize platform performance, uptime, and reliability
• Maintain automated deployment, monitoring, and testing systems
• Collaborate with traders, ops, and product to ensure alignment between system behavior and business needs
• Contribute to adjacent tech like capital allocation, payments, and internal data pipelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering roles
• Production-level experience with Rust (or C++, Go, or another compiled language)
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex systems with deep business logic
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles and backend architectures
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and cause-effect validation skills
• Comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments with high responsibility
• High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and bias for action

Bonus Points

• Background in trading systems, hedge funds, or fintech
• Experience in crypto/blockchain or financial engineering
• Algorithm competition participation (Math, Physics, Informatics Olympiads, etc.)
• Familiarity with capital routing, settlement, or exchange APIs
