Role Overview
We are looking for a confident and experienced Senior Onboarding Officer to join the compliance team. The role focuses on managing the end-to-end onboarding process for merchants, with a particular emphasis on acquiring services. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise from acquirers and exposure to high-risk verticals such as crypto, forex, and adult, ensuring smooth merchant integration while meeting strict regulatory and scheme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead merchant onboarding processes in line with acquiring and scheme compliance requirements.
Review KYC and underwriting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Collaborate closely with sales, compliance, and risk teams to support onboarding workflows.
Handle complex onboarding cases, particularly from high-risk industries.
Ensure ongoing alignment with Visa and Mastercard requirements.
Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding processes and controls.
Requirements
Proven experience in acquiring is a must.
3+ years of experience in merchant onboarding, underwriting, or KYC roles.
Background in high-risk industries such as crypto, forex, or adult.
Solid understanding of card scheme requirements and payments compliance.
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
