About the role
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Operations Manager to lead and optimise all core operational functions. You will be responsible for onboarding, payment processing, compliance, risk management, and cross-team collaboration. This role plays a key part in driving efficiency, supporting regulatory licensing, and enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee daily operations across onboarding, payment processing, compliance, and risk management, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Partner closely with executive leadership to drive strategic operational development of payment services, including banking and acquiring solutions.
Act as the primary liaison with external stakeholders during licensing processes, business plan preparation, and policy alignment.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational KPIs and SLAs to track performance and improve service delivery.
Drive process optimisation and automation, including the implementation of company-wide data access frameworks, internal policies, and control mechanisms.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with IT, Legal, Compliance, AML, and Client Support to align operations with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Manage and resolve complex operational escalations, ensuring timely solutions and customer satisfaction.
Support regulatory readiness for licensing and audits, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as DORA.
Oversee strategic hiring and team development, including recruitment for key leadership roles and mentorship of operational team leads.
Build a culture of accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the operations department.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in operations leadership within fintech, payments, or financial services.
Proven expertise in building and optimising operational processes at scale, ideally in a regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of payments infrastructure (banking, acquiring, onboarding, risk, and compliance).
Experience with regulatory licensing processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing data-driven improvements.
