About the Client
A fast-growing fintech company offering payment solutions for online businesses, including acquiring, payment gateway, anti-fraud tools, analytics and dashboards. The client’s mission is to enable capital to move freely across borders by removing barriers and supporting global business growth. They work with digital businesses, e-commerce platforms, and high-risk projects, helping them manage financial operations seamlessly, offering tailor-made financial services to meet each client’s specific needs.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Head of HR / HR Director to build and scale the HR function from the ground up: recruitment, onboarding, learning, culture and retention.
You will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, ensuring the company attracts, develops and retains top talent in a competitive fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with the company’s growth goals
Build full-cycle HR processes: attraction, hiring, onboarding, development, evaluation and retention
Define and monitor HR metrics and KPIs (turnover, retention, time to hire, employee engagement)
Lead recruitment: manage external agencies, build an internal candidate pool
Design and implement compensation, bonus and motivation systems
Drive company culture and employee engagement: events, feedback, values initiatives
Create learning and development programs: career paths, mentorship and growth initiatives
Collaborate with department heads to meet talent needs and build strong teams
Establish and maintain HR policies, standards, compliance and documentation
Handle complex HR issues, conflict resolution and provide guidance to staff and management
Monitor labour market trends and recommend improvements and best practices
Requirements
Proven experience as Head of HR or HR Director in startups or fast-growing companies (Fintech background is a strong plus)
Deep understanding of core HR functions: recruitment, onboarding, development, evaluation, retention
Experience in building HR strategy and processes from scratch
Strong knowledge of HR analytics and KPI implementation
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to partner with executives and teams
Strategic mindset paired with operational agility
Familiarity with the fintech or payments industry is a strong advantage
Fluent English (Russian is a plus)
