Role Overview
We are looking for a confident and experienced Senior Onboarding Officer (Acquiring) to join the compliance team. The role focuses on managing the end-to-end onboarding process for merchants, with a particular emphasis on acquiring services. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise from acquirers and exposure to high-risk verticals such as crypto, forex, and adult, ensuring smooth merchant integration while meeting strict regulatory and scheme requirements. The role involves active communication with international teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead merchant onboarding processes in line with acquiring / scheme compliance requirements.

• Review and assess KYC, KYB, and underwriting documentation with a strong focus on scheme compliance and risk indicators.

• Collaborate closely with sales, compliance, and risk teams to support onboarding workflows.

• Handle complex onboarding cases, particularly from high-risk industries.

• Ensure ongoing alignment with Visa and Mastercard requirements.

• Maintain detailed records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding processes and controls.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in card acquiring (as a plus).

• 3+ years of experience in merchant onboarding, underwriting, or KYC roles.

• Background in high-risk industries such as crypto, forex, or adult.

• Solid understanding of card scheme requirements and payments compliance (as a plus).

• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
