About the Client
An international and growing fintech company operating as an FCA-regulated EMI. The company provides acquiring services for both low- and high-risk merchants and works with a wide network of payment partners.
Role Overview
This role focuses on building and developing strategic partnerships with banks, PSPs, and acquiring partners. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding partner coverage, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring smooth integrations while closely monitoring performance and conversion metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end partner relationships, from negotiations and commercials to onboarding and ongoing performance
Lead commercial discussions, pricing models, and contractual frameworks
Source new acquiring routes and backup solutions to support market expansion
Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Product, and Operations teams to align partner requirements
Monitor partner KPIs, volumes, approval ratios, and operational efficiency
Identify, onboard, and manage acquiring partners, including banks, PSPs, and processing platforms
Represent the company in partner meetings, industry events, and conferences
Requirements
3+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or account management within payments, acquiring, or fintech
Strong understanding of card acquiring, payment flows, schemes (Visa, Mastercard), and risk considerations
Hands-on experience working with banks, PSPs, or payment processors
Fluent English; the role involves communication with international clients
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage senior stakeholders
