Sales Manager - Payments
We are looking for a Sales Manager in payments to close high-risk, cross-border deals and scale APM and multi-currency solutions.
About the Client
Our client is a payment gateway that enables businesses to accept online payments across multiple countries, with a strong focus on Asia. It provides access to payment methods, including bank transfers, e-wallets, and mobile payments, through a single API integration. The company offers payment processing solutions for websites and apps, though publicly available information about it is relatively limited.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Strong Sales Professional with proven market experience. The ideal candidate should have strong direct relationships with merchants and substantial hands-on experience working with alternative payment methods (APMs) across Asia, Africa, and/ or Latin America. A deep understanding of regional market specifics and a successful track record in merchant acquisition and partnership management within these regions.
Key Responsibilities
Active search and acquisition of merchants.
Closing deals in acquiring, APM, and multi-currency solutions.
Managing the full sales cycle: from first contact to contract signing.
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with decision-makers.
Selling solutions based on alternative payment methods (local wallets, bank transfers, mobile money).
Advising clients on the optimal payment structure.
Preparing tailored commercial proposals.
Working with high-risk and cross-border segments.
Overseeing onboarding, launch, and first transaction volume.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in the payments industry (PSP, acquiring, APM).
Proven sales experience across Asia, Africa, and/ or Latin America.
Strong understanding of approval rates, chargebacks, rolling reserves, and MID setup.
Ability to close deals and manage long sales cycles.
Ability to participate in conferences and industry events.
Fluent in Russian and English.
