Key Account Manager (FinTech / Payments / Crypto)

About the Client
Our client is an international fintech and crypto company building financial products that make using digital assets simple for both individuals and businesses.
The company develops solutions across several key areas: fiat-to-crypto payments infrastructure, a self-custody crypto wallet application, and a non-custodial crypto card that allows users to spend crypto in everyday transactions. Their products are used by fintech companies, web3 projects, crypto wallets, exchanges, and payment providers across many global markets.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Key Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with existing B2B merchants in the fintech and crypto space. In this role, you will focus on increasing transaction volumes, improving payment performance, and expanding product adoption across your portfolio of strategic clients.
You will work closely with product, integration, support, and commercial teams while acting as the main point of contact for merchants and ensuring long-term partnerships and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of existing B2B merchants, ensuring strong relationships, high client satisfaction, and long-term retention.
• Monitor payment performance metrics such as approval rate, conversion rate, and transaction volumes, identifying trends and potential issues.
• Analyse transaction data and recommend improvements in payment methods, geographies, or technical settings to increase performance.
• Drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives by introducing additional payment methods, markets, or company products.
• Conduct regular client calls and quarterly business reviews, presenting performance insights and growth opportunities.
• Act as the voice of the client internally by collaborating with product, tech, support, legal, and finance teams.
• Escalate critical issues, coordinate solutions across teams, and ensure timely resolution in line with service expectations.
Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in Account Management, Key Account Management, Business Development, or Customer Success roles.
• Strong background in fintech, payments, acquiring, PSP, or related financial technology environments.
• Solid understanding of merchant lifecycle, payment flows, and transaction performance metrics.
• Fluent Russian and strong English (B2+/C1); the role involves communication with international clients and internal teams.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools.
