Our client is a global payment processing company that offers comprehensive payment infrastructure services. They provide acquiring, issuing, and processing solutions to merchants, fintechs, and banks worldwide. Their range of services includes payment acquiring, BIN sponsorship, white-label card issuing, and a digital banking platform, catering to the needs of various industries such as e-commerce, digital businesses, and retail.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to drive business growth across Austria and Germany. As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding the company's merchant base in the DACH region. You'll leverage your existing network and industry knowledge to identify new opportunities and lead commercial negotiations. This fully remote role offers the chance to work independently while collaborating with various teams to ensure successful merchant activation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a pipeline of merchants across Austria and Germany, focusing on low- and mid-risk industries, including e-commerce and SaaS.
Drive new business acquisition by leveraging your existing network of merchants and partners.
Identify merchant needs and position the company's payment solutions effectively.
Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing and contractual agreements.
Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Onboarding teams.
Build and maintain relationships with local partners and industry stakeholders.
Represent the company at industry events and fintech conferences in the DACH region.
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity relevant to the German-speaking market.
Requirements
2+ years of B2B sales or business development experience in payments, merchant acquiring, or related fields.
Strong understanding of merchant acquiring, payment processing, and transaction flows.
Experience selling payment solutions to merchants in the DACH region is highly preferred.
Existing network of merchants or business contacts within Austria and/or Germany is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with European payment infrastructure and local payment methods.
Experience working with regulated financial institutions is a plus.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities.
Languages: English, German.
Experience in fintech.
