Role Overview

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day accounting for the Finnish legal entity. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in Finnish accounting requirements, while collaborating with an international finance team. You will have the chance to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with local regulations, significantly contributing to the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day accounting for the Finnish legal entity, ensuring accurate and reliable financial records.

• Ensure accounting practices meet Finnish requirements and follow appropriate local financial processes.

• Act as the local accounting expert, providing practical guidance and support to the CFO.

• Identify and resolve accounting issues independently, escalating matters when needed.

• Work closely with the wider finance team to coordinate local accounting activities with company priorities.

• Review and improve accounting processes as the finance function grows.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, or in a comparable role with independent accounting responsibility.

• Strong knowledge of Finnish accounting requirements and local financial processes.

• Ability to manage accounting for a Finnish legal entity independently.

• Based in Finland and fluent in Finnish.

• Strong English communication skills.

• Experience in fintech.
